CASSI commenced as a community-based disability support service in 1989 on the Gold Coast. We then extended our services to include Northern New South Wales in 2002.

Since day one CASSI has maintained our focus of supporting people with a disability who have complex care needs, to live in their home and to enjoy their community.

CASSI had a quality management system established in 1999. We have continued to use this approach ever since as a way of structuring our support, ensuring that quality remains at the forefront and to engage external independent assessors to review our services.

CASSI is an incorporated association. We operate as a not-for-profit NGO through our member driven association. We welcome the people who use our services, their family and friends to assist CASSI by becoming members of our association.

At CASSI it is people who come first. That is, the people we support and the people in their lives, the people who work as support staff, the people who manage and co-ordinate our support, the people who volunteer to become our committee members and the people in the community who support CASSI in so many different ways.
